About Prestige Sambo 's work:
Poem Title:
I Refuse to Die Empty: A Journey of Faith, Purpose and Resilience.
Poem Theme:
Faith, purpose, perseverance, Resilience, self-belief, potential, hope, legacy.
Poem Inspiration:
This poem was inspired by the struggles we face while trying to discover and fulfill our God-given purpose. It was born from the moments when we feel delayed, forgotten, inadequate, or tempted to give up because our lives don't seem to be moving at the pace we desire.
I wanted to remind myself and others that a difficult beginning does not mean a failed ending. We may not have everything we want yet, but as long as we have breath, purpose, and a gift within us, we still have something to give.
The poem is ultimately a declaration that I will not allow fear, delay, failure, or people's opinions to bury what God has placed inside me.
I refuse to die empty.
How long have they been writing poems:
I have been writing poems for about a year. During this time, I have discovered poetry as a powerful way to express my thoughts, emotions, faith, and experiences. I am continually learning and growing, and I enjoy using words to inspire, encourage, and connect with people.
How they discovered their passion for poetry and word art:
I discovered my passion for poetry about a year ago when I first started putting my thoughts and emotions into written words. I remember sitting down and trying to write something from what I was feeling at the time, and I was surprised by how naturally the words began to flow.
That moment made me realize that I had something to say, and poetry gave me a way to say it differently.
What started as simply writing my thoughts gradually became an interest in spoken word and word arts. I began paying more attention to how words could be arranged, how rhythm could create emotion, and how a simple line could stay in someone's mind.
The more I wrote, the more I discovered that poetry wasn't just about beautiful words. It could tell stories, express pain, communicate faith, inspire people, and give a voice to things that are often difficult to say.
That is what drew me into poetry. About a year later, I am still discovering my voice, but I now see poetry as more than something I write. It is a way for me to connect, communicate, and hopefully leave something meaningful with everyone who hears my words.
