About Princess Onwusoro Williams 's work:

Poem Title:

The dexterity of our wounds

Poem Theme:

It is centered on Nigeria and the problems we tend to face growing up in our society

Poem Inspiration:

I was inspired by the events in society. Growing up in a country where the prices of food stuff skyrocketed anyhow, the insecurity and problems we ought not to experience, seeing all of this, I decided to make a difference by voicing out some of our problems hoping for a better Nigeria because it’s not enough to complain. I believe it’s what you do to make the situation better that matters.

How long have they been writing poems:

8 years

How they discovered their passion for poetry and word art:

Years back in grade 3, we were asked to come up with presentations for Independence Day and with my brother’s help, i was able to come up an open. Fast forward to our submission day, I was the only one able to come up with an outstanding performance and I was really celebrated. That pushed something in me and in high school, I really loved writing passionately about performing spoken word, took it even more seriously and watching others do it too because I inspired them, it made me get serious about using it to make impact in my world.
